Marcela Gaitan Mangas

Marcela Gaitan, MD, MSc, is the Associate Director of Field Medical Affairs within the General Medicine Cardiovascular Metabolism and Rare Disease division at Regeneron.
She earned her Medical Doctorate from Universidad Americana in Nicaragua and completed her Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery Specialty at Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Nicaragua. Additionally, she undertook a General Surgery and Microsurgery rotation at ABC Hospital in Mexico City, Mexico, and obtained her MSc in the United States. With 17 years of clinical experience, she has cared for patients and participated in surgical and research trials in both public and private sectors, both in her home country and in the USA. Marcela has spent the past four years in Medical Affairs, where she has excelled in leading scientific initiatives, driving practice changes, and achieving outstanding field execution.
